Organisations are open social systems. Managing them effectively requires systems thinking.

Strategy

I specialise in helping leaders navigate increasing business complexity and develop strategies that meet their evolving challenges head-on. Whether working with private companies or public sector organisations, my systems-based approach brings clarity and order to two crucial tasks: gaining control of existing capabilities and developing new ones to respond to environmental changes and emerging opportunities. Through systematic principles and proven tools, I've consistently helped organisations transform complexity from a burden into a strategic advantage

Transformation

When businesses reach their peak efficiency, advancing to the next level of performance requires strategic reorganisation of processes, functions and structures. I help business leaders design and execute successful transformations by aligning people, knowledge and resources. Together, we find both the optimal path forward and the smoothest route to get there, minimising risk and organisational stress.

Systems thinking is a natural language that makes organizational complexity readable and manageable.

Impact

Creating positive societal impact requires bringing diverse perspectives together to build environments where communities can thrive. I support public institutions, humanitarian organisations and peacebuilding initiatives in making sense of complexity and designing interventions that improve the quality of life for communities worldwide. From enhancing public services to fostering sustainable development, my work helps teams navigate complexity to create meaningful change.

Developing system practice

I developed a sophisticated version of causal loop diagrams using graph database technology, making them both extensive and interactive. This approach reveals the social networks within situations of interest, showing how different actors interact to create the dynamics we observe. The method provides deeper insights into these systems and identifies potential entry points to effective interventions.
